On Saturday March 19, on the solemnity of Saint Joseph in Massillon, Ohio Deacon Samuel Leonard became the first ordained priest from our province. The ordination ceremony was presided by Mons. Thomas J. Tobin, the bishop of Youngstown, Ohio, and took place at 7:00 pm in the parish of Santa Barbara where Samuel had worked for many years before becoming a member of the IVE.

Five hundred people attended the ordination Mass including the IVE House of Formation and the Juniorate of the Servants of The Lord.

from our church bulletin:

God can use you.
The next time you feel like God can't use you, just remember...
Noah was a drunk, Abraham was too old, Isaac was a daydreamer, Jacob was a liar, Leah was ugly, Joseph was abused, Moses had a stuttering problem, Gideon was afraid, Sampson had long hair and was a womanizer, Rahab was a prostitute, Jeremiah and Timothy were too young, David had an affair and was a murderer, Elijah was suicidal, Isaiah preached naked, Jonah ran from God, Naomi was a widow, Job went bankrupt, John the Baptist ate bugs, Peter denied Christ, the disciples fell asleep while praying, Martha worried about everything, the Samaritan woman was divorced - more than once, Zaccheus was too small, Paul was too religious, Timothy had an ulcer, and Lazarus was dead!

God can use you to your full potential. Besides you aren't the message, you are just the messenger.
In the circle of God's love, God is waiting to use your full potential.

That was a great story. It almost brought about a tear.
Jesus worked greatness through sinners, because he came to save us. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God, but Jesus the Word Incarnate bridged that gap for all of us. It brings me the truth that no matter wear you stand in life, God will always love you and wants you to be his child. God Bless
