Prayer Request- Vanity

I am requesting prayer for my family... a miracle really must happen. Here is the situation: We have nine days to find another place to live that is affordable. My husband and I both work, but he pays 2/3 of his income on child support from an old order when he earned twice as much income. Asheville is an extremely expensive area to live. If we cannot find a place to live, we need prayer for patience. We would have to live in a shelter for a while, please help us find the silver lining in that (this is real- life here, no exageration). My ex husband is sure to be jumping for joy and I fear he will be able to take my kids away if we live in a shelter. I am having difficulty with the reality of this situation, that two working adults are nine days away from being homeless. Please pray that God will strengthen and show us the path and plan He has. It is hard to be joyful when facing such grim realities.

Two working adults and you cannot find an affordable apartment? What a shame! I wonder if rent control is to blame, once again...

Have you tried contacting the Affordable Housing Coalition already (259-9216)? Or the Department of Social Services (250-5500)? Or these ads?

Father Lord we pray for Thy intervention in this situation. You know the need here better than we. In the name of Jesus, amen.

When you get settled back in go back to court and get the support payment re-adjusted for the new income level.

"Here is the situation: We have nine days to find another place to live that is affordable."

Really? Nine days? Weren't you enough aware of the situation to anticipate this some time ago? or did an important deadline go ignored? Why MUST you live in Asheville - why not 30-50 miles from there, where rent is much lower? Have you thought of trying to invest in a home in lieu of renting? Why have you and your husband not sought a fair adjustment of his child support payment based upon your most current circumstance?

These are just a few questions for you to privately, prayerfully consider.

My prayer for you is that He will fill you with sufficient wisdom, for you to realize His gifts, and that you see today's needs being met on your behalf and praise Him.
Blessings..

Father God, You tell us in Your Word that Jesus rebuked his own diciples for their unbelief, telling them "I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there', and IT WILL MOVE; and nothing will be impossible for you." We believe that You Lord can do anything, and that through the situation facing this family You will be glorified. Give them Your peace and comfort through difficult days. And if the mountain isn't moved, let this family know that You are there climbing the mountain with them, and they will see you transfigured when they reach the top. In the holy name of Jesus, Amen.
