I do like A Cappella. I had visited this particular church a few times. They take great pride in that they worship with no musical instrument. The first several songs half of the church was not singing but just sitting in the pews. However, there was one song that obviously everyone like and it sounded so beautiful. Of course, we are not singing for each other. We are to praise the Lord. Its a heart thing. Is it the musical instruments or is it our attitude?

We are always to praise the Lord, we really can't He praise Him enough.

It's true that there aren't mentions of musical instuments being used in the early Christian church in the New Testament Books, but the early Christians faced heavy persecution and couldn't exactly 'strike up the band' in their private worship groups.

In the Old Testament, musical instruments were used all the time. God loved David, for instance, and David played the harp. If the harp was offensive to God, why didn't He tell David to put down that dumb harp and sing by himself?:) Or why did God order trumpets to be blow while marching around Jericho?

It's hard to believe that when Christianity began, the Lord developed an aversion to musical instruments. That's a man-made decision, based on the false pride of being so Biblically accurate.
