Did you even read my post? The distinction is between the acts of preaching and baptizing, not the Gospel itself and baptism. Baptism is part of our response to the Gospel message.

I did, but here is the point you missed. Paul claims to have given them birth through the gospel - then he claim to have not been called to baptize.

Therefore new birth must not be dependent on baptism.
