To be fair to Kitty, this particular priestess is at least a heretic. She is executive director of a group of "affirming catholics" who sent a letter to the Eames Commission in June 2004 pleading the case for Gene Robinson.
I don't know anything about her personal life, but I think its a fair conclusion that she's being put in the parish to as a poke in the eye to the orthodox.
