I talked to my wife about our potential transition to LCMS and she is completely for it. As she said, if the ELCA adopts the pro-homo resolutions, she doesn't want our child anywhere near an organization that advocates homosexuality.

If the ELCA starts down this route, either the church we belong to leaves the ELCA or we leave that church. The nearest LCMS is about 5-10 miles further away, but much closer to "home".

Our Congregational Council voted to recommend we leave the ELCA. We will be having a full vote of the congregation in a couple weeks. We will be affiliating with the AFLC (Association of Free Lutheran Congregations).
