I find the attacks against Mormons disgusting.

Can you point out what YOU think is an 'attack'.

I've seen that adjective used over and over in these threads to cover a lot of things, but NONE has ever been copy & pasted and said...

---> THIS RIGHT HERE <---

...is what I mean by ATTACK.

“I find the attacks against Mormons disgusting.”

“-—> THIS RIGHT HERE <-—

...is what I mean by ATTACK.”

I would have written to you sooner, but I have been wrestling with how to respond without attacking you for attacking my post in claiming it was an attack. I considered not responding at all, but was concerned an absence of a response, could be taken as a tacit attack, causing you to then attack me by claiming that my tacit attack was an attack to your attack of me, for what you claim was an attack. ;>)

Of course, as you believe my last post was an attack, no doubt you will consider this response as an attack, of your attack to attacking me for what you claim was an attack.

The truth is, it was not my intent to attack anyone. Rather, I was simply responding to a post, directed to me, that looked like an organized attack by the Catholic’s against the Mormon’s. Further, I was trying to state my personal opinion as that what this entire feud looks like to a guy looking at it from the outside.

At the risk of being accused of yet another attack, I will say this. I believe this entire cyber war over religion is silly and self defeating. Maybe I am just different, but I doubt that many souls are saved by rubbing the bible into peoples noses, while shouting insults. Perhaps that makes some people warm up to religion, but it sure doesn’t effect me that way.

It seems to me that a better use of energy, might be to spend time trying to lead folks to faiths, not drive them away with these over the top fights about doctrines. Admittedly, I could be wrong. Perhaps demeaning others about their faith and dissecting each piece of each faith, has proven to be successful.

On a final note, we all know that our country was founded on religious freedom, among other things, and it is my belief that we need more of it to survive as a free country. But you mark my words, should the democrats prevail in November, it will be religion that takes much of the blame and it will be religion that will become the real loser in all of this. And, THAT disturbs me, a great deal.

Aren’t our right’s beautiful, they allow ALL of us to have fun. ;>)

Have a nice day....
