Thank you for the Informative Post, WileyPink, and for the Ping, Alpha. I don't Remember Ever Reading that Hinn Claimed Elijah had Visited him, so that is New Info to me, and I don't Know whether to Laugh or Barf. :(

When I Read Things Like this, it Always Makes me Long for a New House-Cleaning in the Church, as when our Lord Swept Away Several Fallen 'Ministries' in the Past.

Brother Alpha, Thank you for your Excellent Scriptures and Comments on this Thread, and Also for the Outstanding Study on Discernment a Few Days Ago.

The Blessing and the Honor and the Glory and the Power
Belong to the One Sitting on the Throne,
And to the Lamb Forever and Ever! (Rev.5:13)

Thanks for the post Wiley.

I knew nothing of these phonies until I went to see Osteen at the invitation of a friend. OH YUCK. I just couldn’t believe all the adulation he got! And yes it always winds around to be a message about planting a seed ... in their
ministry ! osteen’s rally was so devoid of any substance, it was all pomp and fluff; designed to play on emotions. Very little gospel— but just enough to sound “Christian-ee”

Many times I have tried to warn my peers about these

pop preachers, but they have their itching ears closed and they get a little offended.

Many people think if folks are brought to Christ then a little pinch of manure is justified. Or even a huge
pile of manure with a sprinkle of gospel is fine too.

I am urging my pastors to do a sermon or a mid-week teaching on this...
