It won’t be nice if he gets emphysema, of course. But, it is kind of funny the way you know unmistakeably when he is in the rectory.
By the way, Ray Arroyo sounded like he didn’t approve of Kelly Clarkson singing the Ave. I thought she toned down her pop inflections and I don’t hear most words anyway, so don’t know which words were wrong. :)
Fr. Neuhaus in his rather dry way just said something about “a great deal of variation in the music” and then repeated with emphasis, “a VERY GREAT deal...”
He didn’t point out Kelly by name, and I can’t fault the girl for trying, she’s obviously ignorant but seemed sincere, it should have been the organizers responsibility to find a suitable singer. She is not to blame, she did the best she could and maybe some of those misplaced breaths were due to nervousness.
