Having struggle with have a spiritual life all during my adult life having been recieved into the lay third order Carmelites early last month, I must REALLY get into the need for prayer and silence just as the Pope has said. Plus reading good spiritual books as well. He put me to shame with that wonderful talk to the young people. A little WYD gathering. He was truly filled with the Holy Spirit and also has learned well from his predecesor.
Congratulations, Biggirl. I did not know that, about you being in the lay order. I liked when he said today, “First, we must listen,” or something like that... talking about contemplation. Everything he said was like the most nutritious food for the soul.
