Since there is nothing in God’s law that says He will return on a particular feast day, the best we can say is that it is a Jewish fable.

You're right. Nothing in the Law says that.....but scripture sure points that way: From Xenia and Jeremiah (post #'s 15 and 87: There is only one Feast Day commanded by YHvH for which no man knows the day nor hour. (XeniaSt)*** I love to point out that Yeshua narrowed it down when He said no man knows the day or hour. Another interesting fact is it’s always one of two days in this world, Australia being one day ahead of U.S. So it’s true I don’t know the day or hour but I know the festival. (Jeremiah Jr.)

[Joel 2:1] Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

[1 Thessalonians 4:16-17] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump[et] of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Rosh Hashanah is thought to be the anniversary of the creation of the world (The Head of the Year). It is also known as "The Feast of Trumpets". [Leviticus 23:23-25] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

[1 Corinthians 15:51-53] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

Paul speaks of Jewish fables that are to be avoided by God's people. The theory that Jesus will return on one of the old covenant feasts is one of them since it has no support from the Bible. Many folks get absorbed into these arbitrary, faddish ideas because they are ignorant both of the Bible and the historical teachings of the Church.

Do you think these scriptures look like "Jewish" fables?

It seems you are trying to prove something that a) is not taught in the Bible, and b) is inconsequential in any case. It makes no nevermind whether Jesus returns on an old covenant holy days or any other day. The fact is He will return, raise all the dead, and judge the nations. The just we receive eternal life and the unjust will receive eternal condemnation. Anything beyond that is pure speculation. The result of those who do go beyond are Jewish fables.

Do you think these scriptures look like "Jewish" fables?

No, but the spin put on them sure looks like Jewish fables. No offense, but your interpretation is not the same as the infallible Word of God.

BTW, just for reference, the Bible does not teach that Jesus was born on "Sukkot".

at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

BTW, don't some messianics and dispensationalists teach that the old covenant Jewish festivals will be celebrated in the future, earthly millennium? I assume that means they think the Feast of Trumpets will also still be celebrated.

If that's the case, then how can Paul refer to Jesus’ prior second coming as "the last trumpet". Surely it isn't since folks will be blowing trumpets for a thousand more years.
