More specifically, the gratuitous posting of photos which reveal secret practices are subject to being pulled.
So...please address a few specifics for us, so we can know the rules clearly...
If Islamics come here and begin threads endorsing, supporting, promoting, the radical supressive religious tenants and belief systems and criticizing all other belief systems, doing so without profanity and label the threads it as “devotional”, then this speech will be entitlement-protected and all other views on that thread will be restricted?
What about satanists?
What about atheists?
What about the Hale Bop Comet folks?
What about Wiccans?
Will ALL of these views receive the exact same protectionsist entitlement priveledges?
Since you opened the floor to discussion, I’m hoping for specific replies.
Thank you in advance.

Are there really such things?
Yeah..I wanna know too!
got a pic to post?

If it comes to “satanists, atheists, Hale Bop folks or Wiccans” I have found that if no one replies to a thread it dies pretty quickly.
So ignore them. Or laugh at them. That works too.
Personally, I’m looking at the religion forum and thinking it should be given a well needed rest. Here is where FReepers look the worst and I’m surprised the DU hasn’t reprinted some of these thread.

when arent they subject to being pulled and what mechanism do you have for determining wether a thread is gratuitous?
Ive yet to see one thread allowed to stand regarding secret ordinances of a particular group....they couldnt have possibly ALL been gratuitous these past 7 yrs Ive been a member.
Do I have your permission to start a thread to discuss the Scriptural and doctrinal basis by which the Mormon pratice takes place ?
Why would FR be interested in maintaining the secrecy of an organization? Are all secret practices subject to the same protection?
LOL!
I’ll skip the photo!
Sounds good to me. Another poster put it very well on another thread. Something about not being Christian, provoking one another, and thus falling into the trap of acting paganistic.
My words are a little stronger. And I judge you are mightily aware of the posters who, by the multitude of addressees, continue to repeatedly strike out at another faith.
So if I gratuitiously post a picture of a witchcraft ceremony it will be pulled.
In Witchcraft, many secrets and mysteries are kept very well guarded. The keeping of these secrets and/or mysteries is seen as something that is very important within traditional Witchcraft. There are some things that have not -and never will be- written within any book. Most often these secrets or mysteries are passed to a Witch during their rite of passage or initiation. For a Witch there is a great deal of seriousness that is associated with the oaths that are taken to guard these secrets. If certain things were revealed there would most often be very radical consequences that could affect the wellfare of the person that revealed them.
If a poster believes God is a Rubber Duck, he also has a voice.
The Atheists and Agnostics have posted a few successful open and ecumenic threads but I've never seen them attempt a devotional. What would they be devoted "to?" Themselves?
But if one of the Freeper Muslims posted a devotional or a caucus, their private assembly would indeed be protected.
Likewise if the "Young Earth Creationists" called a caucus to discuss their beliefs, it would be protected providing of course they did not compare their beliefs with any others or speak in behalf of other beliefs.
of course my dear - Calvinists also have a "sacrifical Sunday" once every 12th lunar cycle, where they slaughter a young boar, smearing the carcass with vinegar from a branch of hyssop, adding holy spices, later roasting it on a hickory fire
Later, they use the same fire for roasting an effigy of Servetus

Google is your friend. " No results found for 'presbyterian nipple rings'.".
So, no. Not yet anyway.
Yeah but do they serve beer with it?
complete with beer wenches and tankards
It is not gratuitous when the members of that belief raise the issue themselves.
On the witchcraft pictures, most such materials end up in "Chat" along with hauntings and related subjects.
and none of the American panther pee......they serve Guiness Stout....or something you can chew
Actually, I was going to ask my hubby about them.
