Non-Denominational Devotional/Prayer

Well, Governor Sarah Palin is about to enter the lions den having already been savaged daily by the extremely biased secular socialist media. She is going on world-wide television to debate Senator Joe Biden.

This thread is a non-denominational invitation to join together in prayer and expect our Lord to be in our midst, as we beseech Him on Sarah Palin's behalf.

The debate is at 9PM Eastern. I would hope that we will come together starting at 8PM Eastern and maintain a vigil right through the debate, until the end of the liars club spin zones on the alphabet networks.

We will be asking the Lord to confound the minds of those seeking to play gotcha rather than reveal the nature of each candidate. We will be praying that The Lord's Spirit energize Sarah Palin, giving her divine wisdom, discerning the motives and intentions of questions/questioners so that she has His strength of Spirit to sweep away deceit and carry forth The Truth America needs at this crucial time.

Let us pray also that the eyes of our fellow Americans watching the spectacle will be opened to see the true nature of what is occurring in the media assaults on Sarah Palin's character and competence.

Father, we know that this could be a time when you allow our nation to reap what it sows if it chooses to elect a socialist and an amoral candidate such as Obama as our leader.
Yet, many will only vote for him because they have been led astray by a deceptive media and worthless shepherds in Congress and the pulpits of many churches.
Please be merciful Lord, provide a way for the truth to be heard, open the eyes of the sheep in this land, and help them to see the ultimate price of such a vote will be to this magnificent nation you have given us.
Please bring revival to this nation, both spritual and national, and help it to be a brighter light on the hill and worthy of the precious blood and sacrifice of those men and women who have given all in the name of our land.

**this is one of my favorite verse because it reminds me of how quickly things can change IF you have faith enough to believe!

Sarah is being lifted up in prayer, in more places than here tonight at Free Republic. I just want Sarah Palin to know that. Many churches are offering a prayer for you Sarah tonight, some are even fasting for you, as they pray.

The LORD is Sarah’s shepherd; She shall not want.

When Gov. Palin was announced as the vp choice I finally understood why we should pray for rulers and those in authority.

Fervent prayers being sent to the almighty God that his will may be done and that he will protect those who are his.

Love your enemies and you shall heap blazing coals on their head...I add this because as with any real enemy (as in a battle) you do them honor by removing them from their error. Having to shoot Nazis, or al-queda removes them from a plain of action that left unchecked would not be in the interest of their Sonship with God the Almighty - better to remove them physically from the world. I think our enemies in the other camp feel that they represent a more pluralistic society. In fact, they are sad and diminished creatures, slaves to every wind. Given they have a kind of false righteousness, that tells me they are yet waiting for their Redeemer. I read some pretty nasty blogs, and find they think very little of Christ. Christ has a way of confounding the mighty that cannot be explained. In some ways His ways are the real October Surprise. Somewhere, germinating from within, is the still, small voice that calls all of us Home. If we live by that, we conquer worlds, not merely this world. If the world, this world had not been so inimical to George W. Bush I’d have probably responded less enthusiastically over the past few years to his Republican leadership. Knowing that the world strove against him in every thing he did, made it plausible that his Kinship was enduring and abiding as our enemies strove against us. Internally, America has to deal with a certain rottenness and I believe we’ve all been culpable for it. I’m not like the man who found God in between the moment the grenade exploded and the body became airborne. My life could be a set of realizations in steps that the greatest good for the greatest number encompasses the camp of the enemy as well as the camp of Saints. Govenor Palin has stepped into that same plain of action as Reagan did and like St. Joan of Arc will slay her enemies with her tongue - when and if - God aids her in his Patience with us his Sons and Daughters.

Sarah Palin is a Spirit-filled Godly person who said ‘yes’ when asked recently to serve her country. Since then, Gov. Palin asked my daughter Rosanne, who is part of her staff in Anchorage, for prayer, and so over the weekend Rosanne and I put together the attached ‘Psalm for Sarah for 66.’ It’s intercessory prayer using Psalm 27 for the 66 days between the date of Sarah’s accepting McCain’s offer and election day, Nov. 4; it’s not about who wins the election or about politics or your voting choice.
