"Darby was inspired by a woman named Margaret MacDonald who reported a revelation given to her by God during a healing service in Port Glasgow, Scotland, in 1830. "

I had never heard that! What was it about the 1800's that so many false prophets got so many so lost. I don't know about this woman but this was the age of false prophets who started the unique American tradition of cult religions claiming to have finally gotten to the truth. I know there are plenty of pre-tribs out there (including my family) who are in Christ so don't shoot me for saying they are all cult members.

Count 'em up. A lot of stuff (with quirky eschatologies) came out around then. A log of it out of the upstate NY "Burned Over District". Millerites, Adventism, LDS, Jehovah's Witnesses.

Margret McDonald

Historic premils aren't such a problem.
