“Joel is a super nice guy...”

..who preaches a prosperity message
filled with lovely sounding encouragements
to have a positive attitude
to give and you will receive right when the banner at the bottom of the screen tells us all how to call in to give to his ministry

...then, at the end of the show, quotes a brief bible verse, and says something nice about God.

ear-tickling

Pork is loaded with parasites, and cooking doesn’t kill the cystic forms, do a colon cleans, you’ll see, I stopped eating pork long ago, the number of parasites per square inch in there flesh would boggle your mind. My uncles were all hog farmers, they lay in their own waste, neck deep, and the meat smells just like, visit a real hog farm and that will do more to educate you than anything. Hogs = parasites in humans, that is the real truth of the matter, if you don’t you have parasites you’re leaving in a fantasy, and if you eat a lot of pork, cancer is waiting on your doorstep because the waste products of the parasites in your body will cause terrible fungai to grow, then through plemorhpism it will change to cancer, don’t bother arguing with me about it, you want to eat pork then it eat, but for those who listen, this post was for you.

LOL! Great scene.

And that was my breakfast today, too. Coffee and bacon.

you just don’t have enough faith!

solution...watch more Joel and support his ministry.
telephone partners are standing by waiting for your call.

-or-

You’re simply not giving enough.
You know...the sowing/reaping thing?

But whereas how circumcision establishes a distinct people, I’m not sure how the prohibition of eating cloven-hoofed animals does that.

Partly by enforcing a division in their minds: "We don't eat what those other people eat." It would also keep a scrupulous Israelite out of pagan religious feasts.

Cows are absolutely load with fluke worms, you have no idea, the anti-parasitcals used in farming is tremendous and they are getting into humans as well, the liver fluke especially from cows.

Americans in general know nothing of parasites, they think Americans don't really get parasites, how much more wrong could they be.

CDC Reports Prevalence Of Worms Transmitted By Dogs And Cats To Humans Is Higher Than Previously Understood

There are only a handful of parasitologists in America, and they know nothing of parasites frankly. Go tell you doctor you think you have worms, he'll ask you "Have you been out of the country?" and refuse to test if you say no. Why, because the belief is America is above parasites, this does not bode well for the health of this nation. If you are lucky enough to get a test, the test has less than 1 in 1000 of finding evidence of parasites and they only check for like 20 to 50 types, ie, is a miracle if you get a hit. Wake up America. Like the CDC report states

About 14 percent of the U.S. population is infected with Toxocara, or internal roundworms, contracted from dogs and cats. This is especially true of children, and hookworms and other very dangerous parasites are getting into children, in fact, parasite infection is becoming the leading cause of blindness if children in America. America's love of pets is coming home to roost, every American yard full of cat and dog crap is loaded with parasites and odds are your children are infected.

I can understand you're wanting to live with Blinders on, even the Medical establishment is horrified by the prospect and wont even approach the subject. I know this first hand, I know doctors that walked out of offices when patients were seen to have worms coming from their skin and ask the people to leave.

o as I lost interest in the sermon and looked around the stadium I found that the ceiling lights are AWESOME, and change colors every few secends. That is the biggest selling point of the event for me.

OOhhhhh. Blinkies!

Oh, and the other selling point was J.O.'s sermon that if you are a good Christian, God will reward you with excellent parking.

That's pretty much the problem. Law Lite that doesn't kill, no gospel to make alive.

Did he talk about, you know, Jesus dieing and rising, sin and stuff?

I Buried My Guns

In a cow or the like, the multiple guts destroy the larvae.

You think cows don't get parasites?

I thought all the replacement theologians were executed at Nurenburg.

Smile when you say that.

“I can understand you’re wanting to live with Blinders on”

Huh?

I ranch, and slaughter my own range-fed meat. As a family trained shochet (kosher butcher), I inspect the meat carefully for parasites, and don’t eat the crap cuts of meat where parasites reside.

Sorry Texan, unless you’re looking with a scope at 100 times magnification you’re not going to see the things, oh sure, you might see a big tapeworm, most parasites, the killers, are microscopic my friend, you’ll never see them. This is just more proof of how little folks know about parasites, practically nothing.

Some, sure.

The evidence of disease, however, is pretty clear with the diseases we get our here.

It’s really not hard to keep cattle clean.

Just raise them in a big pasture, with clean water, don’t let them stand in their own sh!t (or sh!t in the water, which you can do with a berm), and feed them clean hay.

Well, I’ll agree with you there, that’s why hogs are so loaded with parasites, they lay in the own crap all day long, and it’s full of worms, pinworms, strongyloides, roundworms and just a whole host of things.

Ever give your cattle Fenbendazole, Praziquantal, Menbendazole, Albendazole?

I breed my own stock, and most of these can cause miscarriages, so you avoid these generally.

I do typically run a pretty broad spectrum of flukicides and the like for new cattle I’ve purchased and intend to integrate into the herd -— a bull, for example.

You nail them with whatever the vet deems prudent, then keep them in a seperate pasture for a couple of months until it’s breeding time. (You do this as a quaranteen, but also because you want to introduce a new bull when love is in the air.)

Maybe it’s the parasites that taste so darn good. Bacon is good eating.

You are right. I did not view the video because I usually do not look at videos for some reason. I had rather read articles. I wasn’t talking about stimulus pork either. I guess I was responding more to other posts that have appeared on FR from time to time putting Joel into the “prosperity ministry” category. He does preach that message a lot. My point is that there is more to him than that.
