Because he doesn’t agree with your theology? I don’t think so.
Believe or not.
I’m increasingly at a loss as to how to enlighten some folks a microgram’s worth . . . a sub-atomic particle’s worth.
The handwriting is on billboards, walls, cliff faces far and wide, so to speak.
Those with ears to hear and eyes to see take note.
Others mock and waltz blissfully on . . .
That waltzing and mocking is going to come to a screeching halt sooner than even some of the alert ones think.
I’m hoping we have 3-6 months but I’m not at all sure we do.
NOT AT ALL sure.
BTW, John doesn’t have a lot of things any more figured out prophetically than anyone else does and a LOT WORSE than a number of folks do.
He’s also clueless about the operation of The Gifts of Holy Spirit in this era.
I increasingly don’t give a rip what a lot of naysayers think.
The burning in my spirit is reaching such an intensity . . . a LOT of things just don’t matter any more.
He will actually have a lot to answer for most severely and most soberly regarding his cluelessness about Holy Spirit in our era.
Well put, my friend.
And one of the most insidious and blasphemous aspects of this house-of-cards dispensational futurism is the notion that old covenant animal sacrifices will once again be instituted for the atonement of sin, completely undermining the finished work of Christ for His covenant people.
This is what you get from a system that places more emphasis on antichrist than Jesus Christ, secular Israel rather than the true Israel of God, carnal Jerusalem rather than the heavenly Jerusalem, the synagogue of Satan rather than the ekklesia and body of Christ.
He’s not the best by a long shot.
Chuck Smith is one of the Best.
Pat Robertson does OK.
Billy Graham is great.
Ravi Sakaris sp? is great.
Del Tacket of the Truth Project is great.
McArthur’s a mess compared to them.
Quix, as much as I hate to say this. This does not surprise me. We have slowly ( as a nation) turned our backs on God. Unfortunately, America will fall. We need to take it back, we cannot change what God is going to do. But we need to fight the fight, not give up nor give in.
Actually, I’ve been studying prophecy and watching and predicting trends to myself since 1962.
Due to Holy Spirit’s teaching me . . . The layman in my mirror has done a lot better than McArthur on a number of points.
I wouldn’t send a new Christian to him unless he was the only Christian available and then with very strict warnings to the new Christian.
Translation: Send Money!!
Aren’t you saying the same old thing as usual?
I have spent precious ink on your post and will get to shredding it after I play some Chinese chess.
AGREED!
God have mercy . . .
The great tribulation is God’s wrath poured out upon all mankind. The Bible says nothing about Christians being exempt from persecution or trials.
In other words, we aren’t appointed to wrath - but we are promised persecution.
Matthew 25
1Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
Thank you so much for all the pings on this, Quix. I greatly appreciate it! I will be reading through it all later today.
God Bless,
LR
PS - I was talking about these things with hubby the last week or so as well - wondering how far these problems surrounding Obama and surrounding all his policy decisions will go. Only God knows, and only time will tell, I suppose. None of this is going to be pretty, and it won’t be resolved in ANY way without a lot of pain for all. These are worldwide events (the infrastructures crumbling, the violence & war, disease, etc...). I think we’re at a point where all of this will get much worse before there is even a chance of it getting any better...
He has, by the perfect finished work of His Son, Jesus Christ, who drew me to Himself into the true Israel of God.
Actually, Ive been studying prophecy and watching and predicting trends to myself since 1962.
I would not make a big deal out of that if I were you. Or you should keep it to yourself.
The track record of your prophecy preacher friends (like Chuck Smith, "Chuck Smith is one of the Best") has been terrible over the last four decades. It merely speaks to your lack of discernment on these matters.
"Facinating."
Time will tell.
I’ve been pretty comfortable with my hit rate the last several decades.
The perfectionist part of me would fuss but on the whole . . . things have progressed pretty much as expected.
