"Catholics are having second thoughts, but it could get much worse. If the president and Congress are not careful on several issues, these concerns could open a major rift between the Catholic Church and the Democratic Party."

I believe (and hope) that this is the beginning of a rupture between the Democratic Party and Catholics. I have many friends who voted for Obama and listened to the likes of Kmeic rather than Church teaching and the intrinsic evil of abortion. They are feeling pretty let down to say the least.

Any Catholic who voted for Obama is well beyond the “Age of Reason” so if they are disappointed, just too damned bad.

Looks like some of the 48 percent of CINOs who voted for Obama, now realize that they made a fatal error.

May they seek the Sacrament of Reconciliation!

"Obama's Catholic supporters would feel betrayed and discredited -- and rightly so"

I'm glad our Catholic brothers in Christ are coming around to our viewpoint. But what the heck took so long? His previous positions on abortion were well known. Wasn't your leadership issuing warnings about abortion during the campaign? Were you deaf?

Catholic by birth. Christian by choice

I understood from the get go that Obama wanted to kill babies. I never could trust one itty bitty thing that the murderer in chief said. He has raped and pilaged everything that good people stand for.

It’s always amazed me how folks who call themselves Catholics could justify voting Dimocrat; same way the “good Germans” ignored the excesses of the Nazis, I suppose.

“Obama’s Catholic supporters would feel betrayed and discredited..”

How does it feel? You betrayed us, you betrayed your country, you betrayed, you betrayed your own teachings.

I have no empathy for these folks.

What I believe was the greatest Church of all, is crumbling before my eyes. Very sad times...

No Catholic should have voted for Obama

IF

HUMAN LIFE really mattered to them.

It didn’t.

MONEY was more important to them.

Odouchebag and the ‘Rats won't care. They got what they wanted. Now they have four years to patch things up with those who voted for them who might be having some tinges of buyer's remorse. Just get out the gummint check book and start sending our free money. That'll bring a lot of them back.

I ask those who put obama in office how they like the ‘change’ so far. Change to bigger government with big brother policies shaping up. Tax dollars to pay to murder the unborn at home and abroad. And now to try to force doctors and medical personnel to participate in the killings of the unborn (and later in euthanasia) when they entered medicine to preserve life and health. The country is NO LONGER FREE WHEN A PERSON CANNOT FOLLOW THEIR CONSCIENCE!

Specious arguments and weak guidance convinced many to vote for obama because the war would end immediately and everyone would have health care. Right. 17,000 additional troops are going to Afganistan and socialized medicine does not compete with the system we have now. Try getting really good care a decade from now. And those who make several thousands of dollars a year: well we are going to redistibute your wealth so that those who do not work will never have to.

Change? For the worse.

Catholics? Many are stupid and disobedient. Some secular reasoning was enough for them to avoid the protection of the unborn. Ongoing scandals as at Notre Shame and the high profile pro-abortionsists who have sold their souls keep the uninformed Catholics from living their faith and keep the church in division.
