And then there’s Jesus H. Christ, a name I hear often

I figure "Jesus H. Christ" came from JHC, a Christogram, or abbreviation for Jesus used by Western Christians that was derived from ICXC, the abbreviation for ΙΗΣΟΥΣ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ, the Greek words for "Jesus Christ."

I heard it was from the IHC that appears above many crosses. I don’t remember what it stands for but I is for Iesus, and C is for Christus. People just assumed the H was for his middle name.
