Don't know how to post YouTube images. Here is the Link.
Ping!
Good video.
I could not have said it better.
Michael is regularly at our parish.
He has wonderful insight!
(but he needs to do something with his hair.)
Very good, well done. Succinct and to the point.
I’d like to see more of this presenter.
bump to view at home.
Very good and very correct!
In all of the ink spilled, it seems to have been forgotten that there was a de-frocked priest, William Porter, who was sitting in jail on just such charges, so the idea that the Church didn't turn abusers over to the authorities was just bunk.
The timing of the stories was just too convenient for my taste. Yes, those men should have been sent to jail, though, in somes cases, the statute of limitations had expired, so they couldn't be prosecuted. But there was always more heat than light in these stories, because there weren't that many priests involved in abuse of kids, though ALL priests suffered under the innuendo and outright hatred sent their way.
To me, it wasn't a coincidence that this all broke just about the time that the Supreme Judicial Court sent down their fiat allowing homosexual marriage in the Commonwealth. The activists who were pushing this issue knew that the Catholic Church would be a very powerful opponent, so they did all they could to diminish her authority in ANY moral matter, by painting the whole Church with the pedophile brush. They worked hard to run Cardinal Law out of town, never admitting the fact that it was HE who had directed the changes in the Chancery that made unlikely the possibility of that kind of abuse ever occuring again. Almost ALL of the abuse happened before Cardinal Law ever arrived in Boston, but he was there when the shiite hit the fan, so he accepted responsibility for it.
What's interesting is that the homosexual marriage activists thought they'd scored a home run when Sean O'Malley was named Archbishop. I think they looked at his brown Fransiscan robes and his sandals, and thought they had a pushover. He turned out to be just as strong against the issue as Cardinal Law, but unfortunately, the media had done their job and the constant negativity against the Church had turned many MA Catholics against the Church. Even though they continued to attend Mass, they tuned out anything the Bishops had to say. That's one reason why so many MA Catholics didn't have a problem voting for Obama, and why they don't see any problem returning folks like Kennedy, Kerry, and the MA Congressmen to their offices time and time again.
Very interesting post, thank you.
Good analysis.
Excellent commentary. I like this guy...he’s saying exactly what I’m thinking Obama’s paln is for the Church.
Thank you for posting such an excellent analysis. We’re in for a rough ride. Pope Benedict addressed this early on in his pontificate when he said the Church needed to shrink. Like the parable of the sheep and goats, we will soon be asked to choose sides.
Bump for later when the neighbors aren’t outside using weed whackers and I can actually hear what he has to say.
I believe we will be asked to choose sides soon too. The Catholic faith is a hard, exacting faith. We are asked nothing less than complete obedience to Christ’s word, sacred tradition, and inspired new insight.
It isn’t a church for wimps. A lot of winnowing out is going to happen and I feel for our young people in America who did not receive proper teaching about the Catholic faith. They are also hampered by the unfortunate baby boomer priests who often aren’t very priestly. Feminist nuns also abound, but if you look carefully you will see a new generation of real Catholics.
We will be fewer, but we will be staunch. I think the scandals had to happen to cause cradle Catholics and converts to really examine the Church’s teachings and make a conscious decision to be part of the one, holy, catholic and apostolic church. We now participate with eyes wide open.
The Old Testament was the age of the Father. The New Testament was the age of the Son. Our times are the age of the Holy Spirit and we must, as individuals, “Choose life” as Moses said.
**I believe we will be asked to choose sides soon too. The Catholic faith is a hard, exacting faith. We are asked nothing less than complete obedience to Christs word, sacred tradition, and inspired new insight.**
I agree completely!
Oooh! Red Meat! Don’t they just hate it when we make their supposedly-secret plans common knowledge? Thank God for the Watchmen on the walls.
I’m still on dial up so am listening to the broken up youtube presentation.
It sounds excellent.
We need to keep bumping this thread.
Does anyone know if there is a Michael Voris Ping list?
All Christians — listen to this!
You may not agree with the Catholic Church on everything, but I’ll be this is one thing that you do agree with.
Stand firm with The CATHOLIC CHURCH against Obama’s socialism.
Please ping your lists! I know I have forgotten a couple of names there. Will try to find them.
