Is it true that Mormons distinguish “Lord” and “G-d” as distinct beings?

How do they get around the Shema?

There is room for honest people to have honestly varying opinions here...

One can have NO 'opinions' over this; can they?

NIV Matthew 12:46-50
46. While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him.
47. Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you." 48. He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?"
49. Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers.
50. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

Your diabolical error which proves you are no Christian is your assertion that Mary is dead. The Saints are alive, in Heaven, watching the events below, and giving praise and worship to God.

Then just WHO is in their graves; awaiting the Trumpet?

Her only Son was dying on the cross, so he put her in the care of his beloved disciple.

Funny; I thought that Jesus was GOD's only Son!?

Cochran
Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, Chef's attorney would certainly want you to believe that his client wrote "Stinky Britches" ten years ago. And they make a good case. Hell, I almost felt pity myself! But, ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, I have one final thing I want you to consider. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Chewbacca. Chewbacca is a Wookiee from the planet Kashyyyk. But Chewbacca lives on the planet Endor. Now think about it; that does not make sense!
Gerald Broflovski
Damn it!
Chef
What?
Gerald
He's using the Chewbacca Defense!

Cochran

Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks?

That does not make sense! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with this case?

Nothing.

Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this case! It does not make sense!

Look at me. I'm a lawyer defending a major record company, and I'm talkin' about Chewbacca! Does that make sense?

Ladies and gentlemen, I am not making any sense! None of this makes sense!

And so you have to remember, when you're in that jury room deliberatin' and conjugatin' the Emancipation Proclamation, [approaches and softens] does it make sense?

No!

Ladies and gentlemen of this supposed jury, it does not make sense!

If Chewbacca lives on Endor, you must acquit!

The defense rests.

>> Then just WHO is in their graves; awaiting the Trumpet? <<

You’ll notice that the Elders are in Heaven, praising God, (Rev. 5) long before the trumpets blast.

>> Funny; I thought that Jesus was GOD’s only Son!? <<

Astounding. Just astounding. He had TWO parents.

Spaulding is the author of several books during the period of time joseph smith “translated” the book of mormon. A comparison of the story lines show remarkable similarities between the two. There are also others that show very similar story lines - the most predominant is Ethan Smith’s “View of the Hebrews” which parallels the bom almost point by point. literary evidence shows smith plagerized the bom from these and the bible. Former mormon apostle B.H Roberts identified these same similarities and concluded that the bom could have been derived from a view of the hebrews alone.

Gimme some Scripture!

Who is in the graves awaiting the RESURRECTION OF THE SAINTS?

Surely you don’t expect anyone to type out 7 books of the Bible for you?
Here is the Catholic Bible online if you want to check it out for yourself:

Also there is no need for your very unChristian like insults. :)

If you are not a Marx Brothers fan, I shall have little to say to you further.

***Mark, your tagline says it all for you.***

Do you have a clue who said it? St. Augustine. In defense of the Church against heresy; much like what appears to be going on here today; therefore I am not ashamed to ride on the shoulders of theological giants and Church Father. On another thread a poster told me that he and any other person can read and interpret Scripture as well as any Church Father.

He’s got his own religion, separate and distinct from all the other tens of thousands of Protestant ones, diverging all the time.

***Your faith is in your church.***

Jesus created His Church and tells us to follow it and listen to it and be taught by it. Are you not a follower of Jesus?

***You give credit to your church, not to God, the author and benefactor of your beliefs. ***

So what you are saying is that if a messenger came to the door and gave me instructions on how to claim the most wondrous and eternal gift that my adopted Father willed to me and I thanked the messenger for his instructions, that I am completely disregarding my Father and disrespecting Him?

***I find that appalling***

So do I. Imagine that. Well, the children of the Reformation mix all their theology up; this is no exception.

*** and will pray for your salvation***

And that I truly appreciate. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.

***24”No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.***

Interesting response. I asked you if you believe in the Nicene Creed line for line and you give me this. It seems irrational; can you explain?

***It is glaringly apparent that your faith is based in your church.

Interesting. If your faith is placed solely in Jesus, why do you continously quote Paul?
