This is nuts. I am a staunch KJV guy but burning other translations is ridiculous. I believe in using the original translation because I can handle the old English.

It might be easier, though, to list the Christian authors this guy HASN’T blacklisted.

Not Old English. Even Beowulf is Middle English. KJV is Elizabethan English ——vastly different beasts

The KJV is neither the first Bible translation (that'd be the Septuagint or perhaps some of the Aramaic Targumim), the first English translation, nor the first Protestant English translation.

Ever hear of the "Breeches Bible?" It is older than the KJV and was used by the Puritans, I believe.

fyi--the KJV is not in old English... and the original translation of the scriptures is not in any English... but anyway, even though i no longer use the KJV translation, i still recite many of the scriptures in the KJV because that is what i used when i memorized them...
