When I was a Baptist, and when I was a pentecostal/evangelical, I always felt something was missing, not to mention how the preachers often contradicted each other. I am happy, safe and secure in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Authority was the missing ingredient. Jesus Christ is the center of my life and the head of my church. I have no clue why that makes so many of you angry.
I try not to ever miss an opportunity to share my testimony of the Savior’s love for all of us. Jesus Christ is my personal Savior, I love Him with all my heart. Heavenly Father is the author and finisher of our faith. The Holy Ghost has sealed this in my heart.
I am a Mormon and I love my Church.

Smith contradicted himself 6-9 times relating his 'first vision' story
Smith declared that polygamy was an everlasting covenant, only to be contradicted by Wilford Woodruff saying it wasn't an everlasting covenant.
Smith practiced polygamy (including marrying women already married to another man) while at the same time condemning the practice.
Young denied Blacks the priesthood, saying they could NEVER be worthy. However, Smith before ordained blacks. Yet when faced with pending lawsuits and bad pr, the were suddenly found 'worthy' in 1978.
Young, as prophet and seer, taught as doctrine that Adam was Heavenly father, only to be contradicted by another prophet.
Smith said that man can become god, Hinkley said that wasn't taught.
What ever happened to "When the prophet speaks, debate is over".
Contradictions between PROPHETS, and not mear ministers.
Jesus Christ is my Savior and the Head of my Church. I love the Savior. I am a Mormon.
Do you guys like to pick on Catholics, too, or is it just us Mormons?
Savior of what SD? Just your blanket ticket to the afterlife? Definitely not your way to the highest level of heaven - that you must be perfect for as well as have a husband to call you through the veil.
I don't pick on Catholics because they are Christians.
Would you call having missionaries going door-to-door picking on Christians (or who ever they encounter)? I challenge your presentation of mormonism - my citations from mormom sources tell a different story of what mormonism is than you project. You may sincerely think you are stating what the church believes - and FWIW, you actually believe is taught - but the reality is significantly different.
Since this is the Christmas season please answer this one question if you don't reply to any of my other points.
Is a gift given to you still a gift if you have to pay someone the full price for it?

I am concerned about all the misinformation being put forth by anti Mormons on this thread.
Do you really think that Glenn Beck would be part of the kind of Church some of you are spewing on this thread? Glenn Beck - and I - know we are saved by grace through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
