Humans took on belief systems, but human nature is the underlying cause of corruption of most of the religions. In the end, it's usually not the system but how you use it.

If there were no religions, there would still be bullies, losers, and winners. If the world were run by alpha women, there would still be wars and poverty and discrimination. If atheists come to power, there will still be pain, suffering, retaliation and blame, kings and surfs and minorities.

I agree with everything you say.

I would also hate living in a world run by atheists. I am not an atheist. I don’t believe that position is logically tenable. But not being atheist doesn’t mean I agree with religion.

Humans are inherently corrupt. Agree. Humans create the systems. They use the systems. The whole thing is a mess. As is evident all around us.
