The Reformation is in and of itself a principle of contradiction. It destroys man and it destroys God.

John C. Rao is an associate professor of history at St. John’s University, director of the Roman Forum/Dietrich von Hildebrand Institute, and former president of Una Voce America.[1] He was criticised for giving a speech in Prague by Cardinal Miloslav Vlk for his anti-American views.[2][3][4]

A frequent contributor to The Remnant (newspaper), a traditional Catholic biweekly, Dr. Rao is known for writing his columns from Rocco’s Cafe, an Italian pastry shop in Greenwich Village Manhattan, for several months of the year.

At last count, we have over 30,000 different types of “Protestantism” and they all claim to authoritatively interpret Scripture. 30,000 Truths is a contradiction in terms.

What, exactly, is the “seed” of Protestantism?”

The Bible

BWAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA

Please the above is so much clap trap. Slamming those who do not believe as you do with such terms as “...America is unadorned...”Who cares if we ‘dress up’. Fact is liberty and freedom were and are God’s gift to mankind. Suggesting otherwise contradicts all that He has taught us.

So suggesting that French catholicism is somehow what people of faith should aspire to is rational argument??? Please. This whole diatribe by the writer was the kind of stuff school kids do. oh it was dressed up in fancy language but really???/ “...Protestantism never really finishes the symphony...”

Our nation is the only crucial western nation that has not gone through an orthodox Christian stage in its development. Protestantism was its religious guide, and Calvinistic Puritanism particularly powerful in its formation. Hence, many aspects of American life reflect the four-fold killing of the body, flight from a harsh God, and plunging into a ruleless Creation that I have noted above.”

Or...one might say, rather, that since America was planted on soil that had never been corrupted by Catholicism, it became the greatest experiment in freedom the world has ever known. Protestantism, America and Liberty are inseparable.

Prove it. Provide your definition of a denomination. Just prove one half that number by listing them. Prove that each is a separate denomination. You made the claim, now prove it.

Complete rubbish.

To put it mildly.

Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.

This post is total anti Protestant bigotry and bashing. It’s not worth a bucket of warm “spit” as former VP John Nance Garner would say.

This is a very good read. Thank you for posting.

Protestants thought that the concept of the Creation as a mirror of God robbed the Divinity of His uniqueness and majesty. So did the idea that men were the wounded lords of Creation who, with God’s help, might someday be washed as white as snow.

I am going to address this more later.
