1. I’m a sinner, unable to reach God’s standard of perfection, and deserving of eternal separation from Him and the receiving of His judgment and eternal penalty.

2. Jesus, God in the form of a man, lived a sinless life, then was beaten and flayed, and crucified as a blood offering to cover the penalty for my sins and the sins of the rest of humanity, demonstrating God’s love for humanity, His infinite Holiness, and His Justice.

3. By faith, knowing my downcast state and the fact that as a sinful human I had no way to reach God’s perfect standard, I received God’s gift of salvation through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9) offered through His Son’s death.

4. Because of what He has done for me, I want and try to live my life in a way that pleases Him.

Religions are man's vain struggle to reach God. If you don't have Jesus, then you have NOTHING. 2 Timothy 2:16
