But in the end what differentiates us is who we say Christ is and our relationship to Him. Not the manner of our worship. While we have clear difference in both Christ and our worship methods, it is the Christ part that (accurately) makes many say we are not (orthodox) Christian.

Agreed. And thank you for your candor and honesty. It is very much appreciated.
So, in order for mormons to co-opt the label "Christian" after 150 years of denigrating Christians and everything to do with us, we are to quietly accept the practice of being labeled as a "subset of Christian"
I simply do not accept this. Again, this is allowing mormons to define Christianity by our silence on the matter.
I am not a "mainstream" Christian...or an "orthodox" Christian...the Orthodox Church might argue with that label...
The Salt Lake mormons take umbrage at the FLDS being called "mormon", yet believe that taking on the label of Christian or pointing to the name of Christ in their church they have become the very "Christians" that have been slandered by mormon leaders AND in my personal experience by the membership at large....that is, until a Public Relations firm convinced the businessmen leaders of the church that there is something to gain by doing a 180.
I, for one will draw attention to this ploy.
There have been threads on FR regarding this matter.

Who Gets to Define "Christian"?
One wonders if these labels come directly from church headquarters.
