did not share this information with his closest family members or students

We don't know for sure that is true. Jesus shared His Word and many couldn't receive it. So the rabbi could have shared it in his own way and their scales preventing them from seeing/hearing.

If we as Christians then link ourselves to this “sign”

Why would you think that? Since when do Christians link themselves to a news report? I'll take the stand this report is true for argument sake - how does that affect my faith? it doesn't. Nor if the report is bogus - it's doesn't affect my faith at all.

Christians ALREADY know Jesus and KNOW nothing is impossible for God. His Will is for ALL to be saved. I know many of the Jewish faith that have accepted Jesus as their Savior.

This thread/story isn't about looking for a sign. It's a good news report.

We do not know if he shared the information or if he did not...what we do know form the article that his family did not receive this information from him...could be scales or that the rabbi did not share...we do not know. That was my point.

My point about linking ourselves to this news report, and accepting that the rabbi was visited by Jesus without any evidence of a “conversion” to Jesus as Lord was not that it would affect a Christian's faith. But when we (Christians) grab unto something...such as this story...where we have no evidence to support the truth of the claim...as truth and use it to “prove” our faith to the unbeliever we open up our witness to ridicule from the unbeliever.(I believe this is part of the warning in Matthew 24:23-24) The proof of our faith that we present to the unbeliever should be from Scripture and not reports that cannot be validated. That was my point.

This thread is about a THREE YEAR OLD news report that could be looked upon as a news report about a sign...Prophecy! MESSIAH REVEALED! (the title of the post)

Ultimately, I don't think that anybody here can know for sure the truth of the claim from the post...so why “argue” over it?

God bless
