Genesis 32:30 So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, "It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared."

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast revailed. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said: Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name?
And he blessed him there. And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel (Pineal): for I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved. And as he passed over Peniel (Pineal) the sun rose upon him, and halted upon his thigh."
Was Jacob seeing GOD through his *Pineal Gland*
The Pineal Gland is about the size of a pea, and is in the center of the brain in a tiny cave, behind and above the pituitary gland, which lies a little behind the root of the nose. It is located directly behind the eyes, attached to the third ventricle.
Scripture tells us that Jacob saw God FACE TO FACE. That literally means that they met FACE TO FACE. Any other attempt to interpret is blasphemy.
LUKE 17:20
And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Could also be interpreted as "directly confronted God" or "Had a direct encounter with God"
Yes..because that is how we signal the Holy Spirit through prayer...
Scripture is not meant to be interpreted. It is meant to be believed.
Jesus said *The Kingdom of GOD* is within us...(And outside of us) so that should be telling us a part of our body is connecting to the Holy SPirit of GOD...

But that's what a literal translation really says. The Hebrew word translated as face, "lipnay" literally means "in front of". The two were in front of each other, or, facing one another. Or a direct confrontation or encounter.

I lament at the silliness in which one engages when one equates the sound of a word in one language, Hebrew, with the meaning of a word in another, English.
Okay...I am not trying to re-interpet the meaning of *Face to Face, as in front of means he saw with his *Eyes* and our Pineal Gland is what prompts us to prayer and connecting to the *Holy Spirit* if we do not pray how do we connect with G-D?
No..When should we stop learning about G-D? does he not want us to test all things? seek his wisdom? his knowledge?

Scripture was written in Hebrew and Greek. At a minimum, someone has to translate it before we can understand it. Translation involves interpretation.

When we retire to bed at night, the pineal gland releases a hormone called melatonin which causes drowsiness and thus causes the five physical senses to close down for the night. When the five senses close down they stop sending electrochemical signals to the brain, so the conscious mind temporarily shuts down until we wake up again. When this happens, our mind switches to the unconscious area of the brain — the cerebellum, and the third eye/pineal gland...
