The first and most obvious clue to the confused thinking of this ex priest is that he says Catholics “pray” to the saints and the Blessed Virgin. We do NOT! We ask for their intercession with Jesus. Why else would the Hail Mary (included fifty-three times in the rosary) always end with, “Holy Mary, Mother of God, PRAY for us now and at the hour of our death.”?
There are three Sacraments that mark a Catholics soul. Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Orders. Those marks are still there no matter what they or you think about it. They are still Catholics!
Only in your wildest dreams...Kinda like you can't quit the Mafia, eh???
Your religion does not and can not mark anyone'w soul...
They repeat the written words...They don't know what it says...
This is true.. It is so funny that the Catholics can not handle it
Prove it is fake
While I understand that non-Catholics don't see much difference between one Catholic in a religious habit and another, a Catholic friar - which this man claims to once have been - would be well aware of the distinction.
While it is true that monasteries have often been repurposed for use by friars, no Dominican - no matter what building he lived in - would refer to himself as a monk.
LOL
Perhaps you should investigate the curriculum of a Catholic seminary before making such an ignorant statement. Remember that unlike so many Protestant denominations one cannot become a preacher or pastor on line or by correspondence course.
Well the thread posts are certainly disputing the facts as they see them..so we shall see...but again, one should not loose sight of the matter here...He is saved and now Free in Christ.

There are Dominican brothers and Dominican priests the man chooses his path
Exactly...The scriptures say, Come unto Me...The Catholic church says, come unto the Catholic church...That's one battle, thank God, I don't have to deal with...
Then he is a liar.
What I am seeing here is the same old song and dance. You have the anti-Catholics who slander the Church with the same claims that have existed for generations. You have the Catholics who will defend it until their last breath. You have the Catholics who attack the protestants and those who will defend the protestants.
Give me a break. What a joke.
You’re arguing from a platform balanced on a single pole, and you shout and point at each other with fervor. All the while, that platform is wobbling back and forth.
Most of the protestants I’ve met who are anti-Catholic have never set foot in a Catholic church because they’re so convinced it’s astray and “of the devil.” They make claims like “the readings are out of context.”
Most of the Catholics I’ve met who are anti-Protestant haven’t set foot in a protestant church because they feel that church has gone astray and abandoned the One True Church. They may claims like “the readings are out of context.”
On the rare occasion that I’ve met someone who went to a service for the opposing denomination, they were so closed minded because they already had preconceived notions they were not willing to challenge that the experience was lost.
You want something to argue about? Here it is: The Eucharist. Of all the things that differ between Catholics and Protestants, the one thing that REALLY influences the church’s ties to Christ is the Eucharist. Not whether a priest or pastor is married and has kids, not whether they wear a suit and tie or holy vestments, not even whether they follow a liturgical calendar or pick out single verses that relate to the season’s theme.
It’s the BODY and BLOOD of our SAVIOR CHRIST. Catholics believe it is to be taken weekly (at the very least), and that the Sacrament is literally the Body and Blood. Protestants, in many cases (I leave room for possible error on my part), do not. In most churches I have attended, the Communion was for Easter and maybe Christmas, and it didn’t include wine.
For the love of God- literally- realize that when it comes to LANGUAGE, that is the text of our Holy Bible, you’re going to have three times as many interpretations as you do readers. It’s the nature of man and his relation to linguistic structure.
Seriously. I want to be pinged on a Catholic vs Protestant title bout that isn’t the same crud I always see. Can someone please provide that?
So where exactly does the Church say that?
Well I would think after years as A Priest and under the authority of the Pope He certainly would now the truth or falsehood of how the church views Mary and the Saints.... further you may not pray to them but I assure you there are many who do so. Besides enough threads have pointed to the truth there is only ONE mediator between God and man and that is Christ Jesus. End of that story.
So why can't we post on the caucus threads then ?+++grin++
When someone is "called out" by YHvHshalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach
then they will be part of His Ekklesia.Praise YHvH for selecting Richard Bennett
to be a member of His Ekklesia.
It certainly is...Jesus speaks to us through His written words...
Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Yes, perhaps He took a vow which though the church required it God did not for him.. it would appear God had His own plan for this man to fulfill, as well the natural need of a man and how God designed him to be.
I knew a man who married later in life who said..”She completes me”....sounds rather like Adams “bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh” in the Genesis account.
What's football got to do with it?
