The back and forth on this thread seems to be I am of Catholic or I am of Protestant...it seems like the same thing that Paul is dealing with in this letter...when we should be about I am of Jesus (because He is the big thing).
Later in 1 Corinthians 12 Paul appears to still be trying to get this message through to the church in Corinth that we are all of one body and that the different parts of the body cannot exclude the other parts from the body.
Are all of God's people going to agree on every issue while on this earth...no. Is everybody sitting in church on Sunday a follower of Jesus...I doubt it (I will leave that to God)...and that would be true for Catholic, Baptist, Alliance, Reformed, etc. But I do believe that there are most likely some believers in each of the churches. Jesus came to save those that where (are) lost...which means we are not perfect so none of us can claim perfect understanding yet...”For now we see through a glass, darkly” (also in 1 Corinthians)
So again, thank you for pointing to Jesus as the “big thing”...that really should be our focus.
Thank you and God bless
And may He bless you too.
