I didn’t know a new creed version was in the works, so I’m not excited. I’ll just mull it over when it gets here.
I do very much like it that Catholics have a creed.
The word “Credo” in Latin/Spanish, etc. has always meant “I believe.”
It is so wonderful to be getting back to the original meanings and translations for Masses said in English! Be happy!

Hopefully, your priest will be doing a lot of teaching/catechesis with the new translation. It will take some getting used to, but I am already saying much of it (to myself or softly.)
Another example is:
P: “The Lord be with you.”
All: “And with your spirit.” which is a direct translation of the Latin et cum spirtu tuo.
That has become easy for me, because I am saying it now, in fact, I’ve always said it in my mind.
