I found a good church for them that doesn’t like associating with Mormons and what they stand for.

They won’t worry about seeing Beck there. They may hear about chickens roosting, but that’s about it.

Baal was a false god, like the god of Mormonism, the one on display at the rally.

Here are some of his other thoughts..do these make sense?

“A dear fellow Christian, in coming to understand where I am on this issue wrote to me today saying, “I like Glenn Beck and appreciate his effort to bring America back to her godly roots. He is doing a great job in uniting government, church, and media. He does speak from a Mormon perspective but still has a heart of seeing America return to God even though he might not have the same theological view as we do.”

I responded by saying, “ I understand you - but I cannot agree that Mormonism is in any way “godly.” According to the Bible, there is nothing at all godly about false religion. Godliness is not just about acts of service, honor, integrity, courage and the like, as wonderful as these things are, but it also includes worship of the One true God and the avoidance of all forms of idolatry. Mormonism is idolatrous worship and when Glenn Beck prays, despite his intentions, he prays to a false god who cannot help either Mr. Beck or America.”

I can remember reading about the worshippers of the golden calf. They had high family values and were absolutely sincere in their worship. Now I may not be the sharpest tool in the drawer, but I do tend to get the distinct impression that God didn’t like the worship - yeah, the ground opening up and swallowing the worshippers.. hmmm... it does lead me to believe that God was somehow ticked, wouldn’t you say?

And then I wonder what God would feel about a “prophet” in the Old Testament asking Baal to bring Israel back to its godly roots. I think in such times, he would be stoned. In Deuteronomy 18:20 God says to His people, “But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.”

Will the rally lead to Americans actually getting down on their knees in the privacy of their homes and praying that God awaken their complacent hearts to renew this nation of freedom's beacon? Time will tell.

If renewal happens, it will be because Christians awaken to their own complacency of allowing this nation to sink so far in wickedness without standing up and saying 'that's enough: no more killing alive children in or partially out of the womb in order to avoid consequences of immorality; no more using the youngest humans to harvest their body parts for medical cures; no more degenerating society by tolerating gross sexual deviancy which demands normalization; no more federal oligarchy cancelling the rights of the people and the states seeking to protect their residents; no more leftist dead-soul judges on OUR Supreme Court!' Get the picture?

If Glenn's rally is the impetus for American Christians awakening, it served a great purpose. If, on the other hand, it ends up embracing even more dissonance of the sort natural to the 'world council of churches' heresies, well, the plummet into chaos will just accelerate.

And some of ‘us’ want to make this a religious issue because they have another agenda. Right?

It’s a country, not a church.

That's right. The king of Nineveh listened to Jonah, called for a fast, and the people repented. Thus God called off the destruction. Jonah was rather irritated. Maybe the king was a Mormon?

Jonah 4:10-11 Then said the LORD, Thou hast had pity on the gourd, for the which thou hast not laboured, neither madest it grow; which came up in a night, and perished in a night: 11 And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?

Matthew 12:41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.

Glenn didn’t post all over the place saying Christians have to be Mormons. Glenn did not make this about a religious p*ssing match. The people who want to undercut the spirit behind the Beck rally are the ones introducing the chaos. Being howling moonbats. Then the eyes are taken off the goal and put on Mormon vs. Christian. And we get nowhere. Which is the agenda.

I think it’s call “Divisiveness” and “Divide and Conquer”. Hard to tell who the conquering is for.

Coming as I do from stock of an area of Europe where the Reformation never fully penetrated, I am so glad that people from all over knew they would be free to worship as they chose here. In our case, it took one generation for God as presented in the public square to woo my family from the practice of religion to full knowledge of the grace of Jesus Christ. More people will be led to faith in the triune God from the words spoken on Saturday than will ever crack open the Book of Mormon. God’s great purpose in using this country as the great evangelistic clearing house is so thinly veiled it’s amazing how people miss it.

He is the one that made it about "faith" not government, not social issues , not elections.. He is the one teaching unprovable Mormon "history "as fact on his show ..the spirit behind this Beck movement is not the Holy Spirit. It is the spirit of error and deception.

Doesn't Beck preach honesty? Its time for him to be honest and tell his followers he is teaching Mormon doctrine and believes he is fulfilling Joseph Smiths White horse prophecy .

You don’t have to listen to his show. And I don’t recall hearing about a Mormon altar call at this event. This is all white noise to me. Unless you want to say that Sarah Palin and Dr. King’s niece are in on some giant plan to make everyone Mormon too? And the probably thousands of Christians who attended.

I'm sorry Rahab, but we can't join your plan to hide our spies.. you are a Baal worshiping prostitute and there is no way that God would ever use a Baal worshiper in his plans...- Pastor John Samson's great, great, great, great....great, great, great, great, great grandfather

Bet that pastor celebrates Easter which is a holiday that was started 2000 years before the birth of Jesus to honor the goddess Estarte. Don’t suppose he knows what God says about that?

Exactly. Divide and conquer is the main attack against conservatives and the tea party movement, and religion is the main target. Protestant Lite vs. Protestant Medium vs. Protestant Heavy vs. Catholic vs. Mormon vs. Jew vs. Hindu vs. Taoist vs. Agnostic vs. Atheist vs. Etc. ( I can't see conservative Muslims, even if they are conservative, because they mostly side with the Leftists to destroy America - despite religion - for now).

Free Republic is full of such divisive RINO trolls and shills, all reaching upwards with both arms into Divine Light in order to cast down with thunderous denunciation against those who don't measure up to (their personal, constipated, myopic, deaf interpretation of) how God - and especially Jesus - wants real, live, genuine, conservative people to believe and live in America.

Thank God that God is in charge of who God approves of. And thank God that God is in charge of the saving of America, and not these damning hypocrites.
