Yes, we should celebrate Columbus day, and I and my family do celebrate Columbus day.
Unfortunately, the false vain doctrine of the Catholic church, which is NOT the Head of the Body of Christ, for which I have debated on this blog for several times without acceptance, these false vain religious systems always claim and credit everything and everybody in history for extending Catholicism; thinking the Catholicism is Christianity. But in truth it is not true Christianity, except that it is only a false doctrine of works of the law religious salvation by works; which Christ HAS fulfilled by HIS ministry of completing the Law; and we true Christians (not Catholics) are said to have completed the Law IN CHRIST; which is rejected by all Catholics.
Even though I am part Italian, I never really saw the significance of Columbus Day . . . at least not enough to warrant the government taking the day off.
Another great article from Pastor Bill.
Thanks brother.
OK, let's review ...
On a funnier note, it has been proven that Australian Aborigines actually settled in the Americas far earlier than the Asians from whom American Indians are descended. The latter killed the former and stole their land. Are the American Indians going to be made to cut reparations checks to the descendants of the Australian Aborigines?
Never heard that story before. Have heard of very early Europeans and Asians reaching North America, but never Australians. Got any links supporting your position?
Or, is this just a “funnier” pile of BS than you think anyone else can dream up? The scholarly study of human origins is more than just a contest to invent a “funnier version” (story) of how we got here.
You got a mouse in your pocket?
Don't know about you, but I don't need anyone's permission to celebrate anything.
I have celebrated every Columbus day as long as I can remember.
Sure don't plan to stop now.
Any more stupid questions?
nice reverend...I may cop that one for my next tag...never thought of it like that but that about sums it up
have pour race card what culture types hit this thread yet?
beware...they will likely come in a pack once word gets out

No need to get biblical; loses you a lot of readers.
Very close to home, we have the Aztecs and the Toltecs.
Good riddance to them both.
I used to get off Columbus Day, then 6 years ago, my company hired a human resources witch who was a card carrying member of the American Communist Party. One her many accomplishments was to cancel Columbus Day. She has since been fired, but we have not had the holiday restored. Something lost is never regained.
Nice red herring you drug out there.
The left hates Columbus day because Columbus brought Europeans here along with the hated Christianity.
Did you find one source that provides the basis for your claim? Or are you just trying to baffle me with bullshit?
If you follow the link, you will see numerous stories which, if you read them, back up this fact. So no, the people who call themselves "indigenous" are no more indigenous than anyone else who just happened to be born here.
Wrong again. I did follow the link. I read a bunch of articles that stated America could have been populated by people from almost anywhere on earth, or possibly some extraterrestrial locations.
Can you tell me which one convinced you the Australian aboriginals got here first?
This of course doesn't change the fact that American Indians were not here first.
Hey Publius, why the atttitude? i am not asking stupid questions, I am using the question to challenge the notion, because i recieved a ridiculous e-mail from a friend saying the way to celebrate Columbus day would be to take over someone’s home and give them smallpox. This incensed me. I forgive you for being rude to me- Pas Bill
