A word of warning, however: I would strongly recommend Catholics against researching this subject unless you have a legitimate need to do so. Just like a vain curiosity or morose fascination with exorcism and the demonic is often dangerous to the faithful, so is this subject, probably for the very same reason.
Unless you have a real reason, just don't go there. The stuff you stumble across in trying to delve deeper into these debates online will rot your brain and is dangerous to your soul.
