As I recall, when Hillary Clinton saw the tilma, she asked who painted it.

Quix, what is the core of the contention as you would see it objectively, please, in a sentence or two?

Dear Qiux, what is it about St. Juan Diego's tilma that bothers you? The fact that it (like the Shroud of Turin) is inexplicable according to scientific methods? Or do you simply have an a priori commitment that requires you to say that miracles can't/don't happen?

It is all in the word miracle. A true miracle is from God. The "miracle" from the evil one is not one truly. You have implied the wrong word is all I am pointing out. You mean false.

Too many just do knee jerk reactions to this event that happen to the tilma. They do not read into the whole story at times. You have to look at what the indigenous natives saw in this painting by an angel has produced. The Miraculous artifact is telling them with what they understand that this is the true God to true God above all others from there own old beliefs. This is why I read ten million within 10 years converted and even more during this time.

If your read this historical event the Bishop was ordered to put up a church building where from the beginning they confess Jesus Christ as Lord an Savior. This cannot be said without The Holy Spirit. This is true Christian people. This is the liturgy of the Church. This is what we do in Church. Whether you are in whatever Christian affiliate if you can declare 1John 4 you declare it by The Holy Spirit. This has historically and unequivocally been declared in the Catholic Church since the Days of Christ. If we did it with true love is presented by the Apostle John.

1 John 4 Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA) 1 John 4  1Dearly beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits if they be of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.     2By this is the spirit of God known. Every spirit which confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is of God:     3And every spirit that dissolveth Jesus, is not of God: and this is Antichrist, of whom you have heard that he cometh, and he is now already in the world.     4You are of God, little children, and have overcome him. Because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.     5They are of the world: therefore of the world they speak, and the world heareth them.     6We are of God. He that knoweth God, heareth us. He that is not of God, heareth us not. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.     7Dearly beloved, let us love one another, for charity is of God. And every one that loveth, is born of God, and knoweth God.     8He that loveth not, knoweth not God: for God is charity.     9By this hath the charity of God appeared towards us, because God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we may live by him.     10In this is charity: not as though we had loved God, but because he hath first loved us, and sent his Son to be a propitiation for our sins.     11My dearest, if God hath so loved us; we also ought to love one another.     12No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abideth in us, and his charity is perfected in us.     13In this we know that we abide in him, and he in us: because he hath given us of his spirit.     14And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father hath sent his Son to be the Saviour of the world.     15Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abideth in him, and he in God.     16And we have known, and have believed the charity, which God hath to us. God is charity: and he that abideth in charity, abideth in God, and God in him.     17In this is the charity of God perfected with us, that we may have confidence in the day of judgment: because as he is, we also are in this world.     18Fear is not in charity: but perfect charity casteth out fear, because fear hath pain. And he that feareth, is not perfected in charity.     19Let us therefore love God, because God first hath loved us.     20If any man say, I love God, and hateth his brother; he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother, whom he seeth, how can he love God, whom he seeth not?     21And this commandment we have from God, that he, who loveth God, love also his brother.

correction-If we do it in love as The Apostle John writes otherwise it is meaningless if we read till the end of this great chapter in scripture 1 John4.

Signs from God give glory TO GOD .
They point TO HIM.

If you think this thing causes people to give glory to God maybe you are not paying attention to who these people make their alters to and play their music to.

That church points to Christ! A humble and contrite heart he will not ignore. You read nonsense from outside then make judgements. May God forgive you you know not what you say!!

Christ will honor his Mother whether you like it or not. He wanted a Mother. He has a Mother. Notice not past tense. He was seen as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the World by The apostle John(Book of Revelation). Which means in eternity He has the wounds as a human from the ordeals of the cross and passion. Because he is still human as sinless for all , he is still bound to the ten commandments as sinless Lamb. One of which is Honor thy Mother and Father forever.

When He honors His Mother he Honors himself. Why because he bound himself to the sinless life(commandments). He made the rules not I. He is the same God of the commandments.

Revelation Chapter 5

6 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

Parallel RSV 6: And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders, I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth; NRSV 6 Then I saw between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders a Lamb standing as if it had been slaughtered, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

Douay 6 And I saw: and behold in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the ancients, a Lamb standing as it were slain, having seven horns and seven eyes: which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.

NAB 6 Then I saw standing in the midst of the throne and the four living creatures and the elders, a Lamb that seemed to have been slain. He had seven horns and seven eyes; these are the (seven) spirits of God sent out into the whole world.

KJV 6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

WEB 6 I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.

ESV 6 And between the throne and the four living creatures and among the elders I saw a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

NASB 6 And I saw between the throne (with the four living creatures) and the elders a Lamb standing, as if slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent out into all the earth.

NIV 6 Then I saw a Lamb, looking as if it had been slain, standing in the center of the throne, encircled by the four living creatures and the elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

YOUNG 6 and I saw, and lo, in the midst of the throne, and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb hath stood as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the Seven Spirits of God, which are sent to all the earth,

Haydock, Fr. George Leo [1774-1849 AD]

Revelation 5

Ver. 6. I saw....a Lamb standing as it were slain, with the prints and marks of its wounds. It was of this lamb (i.e. of our Saviour Jesus Christ) that St. John the Baptist said: "Behold the Lamb of God, that taketh away the sins of the world." (John i. 29.) (Witham) --- Here again Jesus Christ is plainly marked out, the Lamb of God, the victim of expiation, who by his death has reconciled us with his Father; and who, even in heaven, bears the marks of his passion, and by the wounds therein received continually inclines his Father to shew us mercy. He has seven horns, as so many crowns and marks of his omnipotence; and seven eyes, to represent his infinite knowledge and wisdom. (Calmet) --- Having seven horns and seven eyes, (to signify his power and his knowledge,) which are the seven spirits subject to Christ. See Chap. i. 4. It is observed that in the Revelation of St. John, the number seven is divers times applied to signify a multitude, and a number implying perfection, and three and a half for a small number. Thus
