Conservative, orthodox Christians of all stripes can (and really should) be friends.

Too exclusive. I have learned through very unpleasant circumstances (and by God's grace) that ALL Christians of all stripes can (and really should) be friends.

re: How does one live righteously without doing exactly that?

For so called Protestants (there is no such group or religion), what actions are defined as acts/deeds which show righteousness or unrighteousness, which isn't present in any society?

AND what exactly do Protestants define as a heresy?

"Perfect example of what I said.....proud of yourself?"

Perfect example of projecting your behavior onto others.

Learn that all by yourself?

"For so called Protestants (there is no such group or religion),...

Didn't say there was. Are you defining people so you'll know what filter to run their comments through?

"...what actions are defined as acts/deeds which show righteousness or unrighteousness, which isn't present in any society?"

The poster I was responding to said, "What exactly is a 'serious Christian Scholar'? Does that happen to be anyone foolish enough to claim to know the will and purpose of God? To me, the US Constitution is God-inspired, regardless of bystanders' opinions."

My point was that anyone trying to live righteously is inherently claiming to know the will and purpose of God.

...AND what exactly do Protestants define as a heresy?"

Are you appointing me spokesman for this group that you have defined as not existing?

Which “God”? Certainly not the Holy Trinity, or Jesus Christ, since they are never mentioned in the Constitution.

As I said in my post, "The poster I was responding to said..."

I'm sure that Gaffer can answer your questions since he made the statement.
