Well, then, the Catholic church is wrong on that one. Jesus states otherwise.

Matthew 11:11 Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Luke 7:28 I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."

Hi Metmom_ I hope and pray you feel well.

What you try to point out could also be against Christ's true position with these verses:

Matthew 11:11 Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

Luke 7:28 I tell you, among those born of women none is greater than John. Yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."

When Christ states Luke 7:28 among those born of women none is greater than John. Christ himself was born of woman. So Christ can be also not greater than John with that logic.

Also remember 2 PETER 3:18" but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen."

Do we not grow in Grace and Knowledge. If Grace is only one sustaining Grace how come we can grow in it like Peter writes?
