To: presently no screen name

So says Pope presently no screen name who has decided once for all what the Bible means and anyone who disagrees must be led by demons.

It is merely your opinion, you have decided for yourself that the Church is wrong. You were led to the Bible by someone and someone has taught you the meaning of what you have read. It’s a fact, not one of us is an island when it comes to faith. You have learned your creed somewhere and regardless of your Capitalizing every other word, it remains your opinion. I don’t hold that against you and I would never accuse you of following demons for rejecting the tenets of my faith. But, that is what you have done with me. It is unconscionable and unChristian to say the least.

So, unless God himself comes down and tells me that presently no screen name is the final and highest authority, I will continue to grasp onto the faith I have found in my own heart to be the true faith .

It is common for those of your ilk to say that I and other Catholics are spoonfed what to believe and what to say in defense of our faith and so that holds no weight with me as your remarks are as predictable as the day is long. It must be too galling to admit that I, like many here on FR, actually read and think about what we believe and why. I am a revert. I left the church(as in all religion) for 20 years and found myself wanting Christ in my life. I prayed, I read, I studied and I attended different services and I found that my heart and mind and soul is with the church, Christ’s church, the Catholic Church. I did not come to that lightly and again, if you believe that the Holy Spirit would allow an honest seeker of Him to be led by demons, then you are calling Jesus a liar.

Yes, I use the word hate and it is hate that would cause someone to say that another Christian is demonic for their beliefs just because you happen to disagree with them.

Yesterday as I and the others in my Catholic Daughters group loaded gifts for AIDS sufferers and their families, gifts donated by a parish of people who themselves could use help, I was moved to tears. God is good and because of that, His people are good. Their love bears the fruits of faith, and Jesus said, “By their fruits, you will know them.”

So rail on good sir/madam, your words are as feathers pelting a bull to me. I shall live my faith joyfully and with confidence in Jesus’ promises. I don’t have time to waste worrying about what little ole presently no screen name has to say.

That is, of course, until God tells me otherwise:)
