It may be for refutation rather than ridicule ... nut how you feel is your problem. Not too many years ago, you didn't know the facts on how Smith dictated the BofM. It was hard for you to accept the fact that he put a divination stone in his hat and stcuk his face in the hat. You were oh so confident that he had the 'golden plates' right there in front of him and trasnslated them like some typical scholar.

I do find it odd that the facts had escaped you for all those years, even though you had been to and finished a mission stint. The way you handle such enlightening is one of the reasons I have zero respect for you and your 'scholarship'. I will acknowledge you do have a zeal though. And you are very clever.

I never brought up feelings, I spoke of trust. I don't trust the LSM, and I think FR has lost trust with this move.

It was not done according to the rules, and the rules should be followed especially by those in charge of enforcing the rules.

IF the rules are not working, then change them, don't break them. Same for the constitution, amend it, don't just ignore it. Can't get the amendment you want passed? just obey it, it's the law of the land, or should be.

I have never said Joseph smith translated the Book of Mormon like a "typical scholar". I am continually learning, I hope I never stop. some debates like whether or not I exist lose their attraction after a while though and when God speaks, debate IMHO ceases. I have received a witness directly from God. Do you honestly think I should listen to your "logic" over that witness? I think you would be very disappointed in me if I did.

The "Zero respect" makes everything else you said moot.

Facts Are.

Reality is.

We all deal with reality by creating a perspective with the facts (or what we think are facts) we have, and extrapolate our version of reality. The more we learn the more our perspective should match reality.

Jesus' perspective is reality.

I strive to be more like Jesus everyday. if that disappoints you then be disappointed. I'm not trying to impress you, just be more like Jesus.
