The Church should appeal on the grounds that the Human Rights Tribunal is itself discriminating against the aliens by forcing human notions of rights on them, and also appeal on jurisdictional grounds by arguing that the Tribunal’s authority is restricted to cases of human rights and not alien ones.
I don’t think there is an appeals process. The Human Rights Tribunals are not part of the regular court system or whatever. Mark Steyn and Ezra Levant went through this for years because their magazine reprinted the Muhammad cartoons.

It would take them 25,000 years at light speed to get to the galactic core.... Good luck with that :)
