Keep it up lao, your posts are laying aside my doubts about you - neither serious nor a baptist.
As you have been here much longer than I, your instuction is appreciated.
Oh, wait!!
The “same comments”? Hardly. I suspect what you’re reading is from the rote mormon posters libeling and slandering ex-mormons and “anti’s”.
In regards to the “challenge” it that’s what you want to call it, regarding “doing more about it”. First rule in communication, know your audience [who you’re speaking to], you didn’t.
I’m an ex-mormon married to a devout mormon raising our son as a mormon. I’m going through a lot right now trying to figure out how I can help them.
For your edification, this is is the exact scenario many of us find ourselves in. The “cult LIKE” control SLC has over its members is difficult to break through. Until you’ve been involved with one sport, your words are like the wind.

This man’s message is indicative of the difficulty many of us have. It’s not as easy as you seem to blithely indicate.
Are you saying that I am a liar?
You tell me lao? Your posts reflect doctrine contrary to the baptist denomination as well as contrary to that of scripture in general. Are you really a believing baptist and are you really serious about those beliefs? Still waiting to see it displayed.
I'm sorry; have we spoken before?
This mans message is indicative of the difficulty many of us have. Its not as easy as you seem to blithely indicate.
I have spoken neither of "the difficulty", or of the "ease" ex-Mormons have faced. I honestly do not know what you are referring to.
I see, good day.
All you have to do is read the profile page to get your answer.
It's your soul. If you feel comfortable to say this to God someday.
Oh I have, others may not.
Scenario The Third: she lied"
Doesn't look to good for the Bishop who supposedly is given the gift of discernment as a judge in Isreal.
Part of the purpose of the exercise.
As God created all things, His wisdom can be found everywhere.
Allow me to share two quotes from the Tao Te Ching:
"Treat those who are good with goodness, and also treat those who are not good with goodness. Thus goodness is attained. Be honest to those who are honest, and be also honest to those who are not honest. Thus honesty is attained."
"The more one helps others, the more he benefits himself; the more he gives to others, the more he gets himself. The Way of Heaven does one good but never does one harm."
Although not verbatim, both of these truths are expressed in the Bible. They reflect God's wisdom, regardless of where they were written.
My apologies.
It is sad that you have come to the place you are at with your husband & child.
To be sure, it is not my business; but.....
Did you go into the LDS with open eyes? Were you tricked, or deceived? Is your situation totally the fault of others?
If I were to join the scorn advocated on this thread, should all of it be directed at the LDS leaders? At the parishioners? At Christians who are aware but do nothing? All of the above?
What is it that you would like me to know?
What is it that you would like me to do?
well spoken. The tendency to burn any thing that they do not approve of is more like the Taliban than anything. Lao Tze and other chinese Taoist or Taoist like philosophers have some good reads in them
I can't imagine someone questioning your beliefs just because you quote Lao Tze.
I've never managed to get through the Tao Te Ching -- I picked it up after reading Sun-Tzu, but never really sat down to read it, you know
There are so many different printings. The trick is in finding a translation that works for you.
Although not the Tao-Te Ching, a truly great & short read is 'The Tao of Pooh'.
