First of all, I want to thank FreeRepublic for making this happen. There are quite a few members here than have been more than helpful in the launch of this campaign.
I just wanted to keep FR in the loop of what we just launched.
We understand the right to boycott. What we don't understand is the right to slander Chick-fil-A because of their religious beliefs.
We've added two new things:
1. A petition for religious freedom: http://www.chickenfiletsforgays.com/petition.php
2. Opened a comment section so people can openly voice their opinions. This is our chance to tell the LGBT community that we won't stand for slander.
Please visit the site and voice your opinion: http://www.chickenfiletsforgays.com
We really appreciate the FR community!
All the best!
I never really liked Chick-fil-a food very much but the wife & I have stopped there twice in the last two weeks. In addition they also support our local charter school so now I love them!
My brother and sisters already knew about Chik fil-a. Now I do and will eat there more.
I had my first Chick Fil-A meal this week - a grill chicken sandwich. It was fine but can someone recommend some other menu items? I want to support this restaurant.
They have a great southwestern salad and the “chicken nuggets” are terrific!
I’ve started going there with more regularity. This “gay” boycott will amount to something like a (Chicagoans know what I mean here) “Thank you Jesse Jackson” moment.
There are times I really miss Harold Washington.
Thanks, Albie. I plan to go once a week and will try the salad and nuggets. I was pleased to see that the restaurant was doing good business and no trouble makers were lurking around the edges.
