Scott Walker is trying to defund the the teachers’ unions, and this is another good reason why.

Everyone should get their states to do likewise. End collusive bargaining and automatic collection of union dues.

If I may chickadee, let me add something.

Here in Pennsylvania, students are required to complete a certain amount of days in order to move on to the next grade. It's law.

Usually, towards the end of the school year, the teacher's union starts to make demands, effectively holding the kids hostage.

Here's what I propose:

If teachers do not attend school for a certain amount of days always equal to the children's required attendance, then they will forfeit benefits, etc) which is equal to one days salary for every day they miss.

I may not have the best way with respect to penalizing them, but hopefully you get the idea.
