I'm surprised, frankly, at the number of Catholics on FR who can't/won't make a similar statement! IMO a functional, constitutional representative republic is the best form of government over any country, at any time in history, and I would think anyone possessing American citizenship would be saying the same.

It takes one special flavor of nut job to invent a group of monarchists who decide that Free Republic, of all places (!!!), is the best site for them to hang out. But if building up strawmen is someone's idea of a good time, well, I guess it keeps them out of even stupider trouble.
By the way, none of this was directed towards such a talented, dynamic and handsome Emperor as yourself, Palpatine.... Exceptions to every Ruler, ya know? ;)
