Does that mean something?
Not to worry, folks.
I used to drive through Elberton every week. I remember one “monument” carver who displayed his Custom stones up next to the highway as advertising.
One was shaped like a John Deere tractor, the other a Harley. The local daycare center and the local beauty parlor have very nice granite signs out front.
Show them a picture of what you want & they’ll carve it!
Rich fellow show up with a pile of money? “Step right up, son! Do want those letters in reflectorized gold? We can even laser etch your photo or one with you & your dog, too, on your tombstone!”
BTW, if you are passing through Elberton, take time to visit the Granite Museum. Very intersting!
And:

Only kidding folks - ( for those with no SOH)
He forgot to add - REMEMBER TO DRINK YOUR OVALTINE
See the amazing egress.
LOL! I wonder how many will know that reference? There’s one born every minute!
Amen!!
The story of the amazing egress is true PT Barnum. He was brilliant.
People once thought there could never be a marxist in the White House. Just saying...
Ted Turner is a cancer on the Earth.
To me, it looks like a bizarre amalgamation of Adolph Hitler and Ayn Rand.
The site is dripping with Ted Turneresque liberal idiocy.
I would erect a series of stone pylons with some kind of coded clue on finding the next pylon (outside the local cafe). That one would contain a clue on how to find the next one and so forth till you ended up back at the starting point.
The last time I saw them they were covered with red graffiti. I wonder if someone restored them.
What to do with the extra 6,000,000,000 people?
Monumental Precision
Built to survive the apocalypse, the Georgia Guidestones are not merely instructions for the futurethe massive granite slabs also function as a clock, calendar, and compass.
The monument sits at the highest point in Elbert County and is oriented to track the sun's east-west migration year-round. |
|
On an equinox or solstice, visitors who stand at the west side of the "mail slot" are positioned to see the sun rise on the horizon. |
|
An eye-level hole drilled into the center support stone allows stargazers on the south side to locate Polaris, the North Star. |
|
A 7/8-inch hole drilled through the capstone focuses a sunbeam on the center column and at noon pinpoints the day of the year. |
They will have been found worthy of the great honour of being transitioned to a Post-Corporeal State.
