You be gone.

Just because one claims to follow Christ doesn’t mean they are a true believer. Jesus even warned his followers about that and about false teachers who lead many astray.

Mormonism is not compatable with Christianity. It teaches many things that are contrary to Christianity but adopts the same terms to confuse people like you.

The OP is following the biblical mandate to warn others about false teachngs.

“It is absolutely clear that Glen Beck believes in Christ”

Wrong.

That’s like saying you can get a $20 bill made in North Korea and try to spend it here, or anywhere.

It’s a COUNTERFEIT!!!

Really? Beck (mormonISM) believes in Jesus Christ, nope. Unless you define the mormonISM jesus as a none eternal being, the brother of satan, married, conceived by physical sex between their god (one of many) and Mary. Oh and then their is the part the foundation of mormonIM is that all Christians are an abomination to god (mormonISM) and whores of Babylon.
Yep I can see how you would think Beck believes in the Biblical Jesus. He does not. He does believe that he will become a god, just like all mormonISM teaches.

Jesus commanded his followers to spread the gospel to all nations and to warn about false teachings (like Mormonism). There are many nice people in the world, but that doesn’t mean they trust in God and will go to Heaven, because we are all lost sinners in need of a savior.

The OP is warning people of the errors of mormonism and desires those who have been deceived, like you, to embrace biblical Christianity. Trust Jesus as your Lord and savior to obtain forgiveness of sins.

As a lifelong, evangelical Christian I can state unequivocally that I believe Glenn Beck does good work and that I admire him for it. However, his Mormon religion is what Christians consider false because it contradicts the bible and offers what I consider ridiculous explanations of God, Jesus and other serious spiritual faith issues. His claim to Christianity is definitely on very shaky ground but I haven’t noticed Glenn Beck pushing his Mormon religion on his audience. Although I don’t consider this article an ‘attack’ on Glenn Beck - and it definitely is informative - as a Christian that has always found the LDS organization based on false teachings, I can applaud Beck for what he does without adopting the man’s religion, and I have absolutely no intention of doing so. Should Glenn Beck begin to proselytize for Mormonism he’ll lose me and most of his audience, fast. I hope that doesn’t happen. I also hope that Glenn Beck will come to know the God and Jesus of the bible, obey the Gospel and be saved, something his ersatz religion cannot do.

Are you familiar with the Bible passage describing when satan tried to tempt Jesus in the wilderness, how satan quoted scripture to Jesus but twisted the passages to fit his agenda? Perhaps you would do us the courtesy of pointing out which words have been twisted in this thread.

And since some of like mind with you want to quote scripture regarding 'by their fruits', are you folks telling us that you consider Colofornian a Prophet? ... Because the passage being despitefully used was given describing discernment of prophets or not prophets.

I lived in Utah, got to know a lot of Mormons and asked them about their faith. Most of what I heard was in line with the Apostle's Creed. Sure, they've added a lot of nonsense to the basic gospel. It's in error, clearly . I also view the "goddess" treatment of Mary and image-worship and the notion of a earthly spriitual intermediary as error, but I still regard most of the Catholics I know as Christian. To be disobedient is not to be anti-Christ.

Jesus told us how to recognize Christians. He said that their fruits would show them. A bad tree cannot bear good fruit. I never cease to be impressed at the good works Mormons manage, despite all the error.

You must be a mormon. Why would you applaud a religion that teaches there are many gods, that you can earn godhood, that jesus is not eternal, that jesus is the brother of satan.....sorry fellow you have fallen for the PR machine of SLC. I know mormons, I have family that are mormon and they are not as the PR machine portrays them.

What good works are those? People usually say, but mormons are so nice and do so many good things, never actually seem to know what those are and the conditions placed on them.

You will be following a Mormon straight to Hell.

There is only one true God, and He is a jealous God.

There are many nice Hindus and Buddhists, but that doesn’t mean they know the truth or will go to Heaven.

Doctrinal issues and believing the Truth are very important.

????

if there is a God in heaven and there is an afterlife...and if a person of any religion (or non-religious) lives a good life, takes care of his family without stealing or murdering....I cannot see this all good God sending these persons to the fires....

My very religious Catholic upbringing has no part in my thoughts on the subject...as a matter of fact my thoughts goes against my church's beliefs...so much of the scriptures, to me, are just the writing of MEN....

Christianity means belief in Christ, nothing more, nothing less

As you can’t redefine it, I can’t redefine it to say that you aren’t a Christian if you use a Crucifix in your worship as some have done or visa versa.

It is evil to twist definitions and language to fit someone’s agenda.

If you want to smack down on Mormonism, there are 100s of valid reasons without resulting to this bs redefining terms.

I did not say there was no difference in beliefs. I said they both were religions based upon writings by men (or God) that must be accepted by faith, and cannot be proven. Anyone can prove that events that happened and are also written about in the Bible, that does not mean the doctrines are proven. If anyone claims that archeology proves your version of religion is wrong, it can only prove that the history is correct. Religion or doctrine are taken on faith, not proof.

Look at his own words, if you think he is lying, fine, say so

But you can’t redefine terms

When you say Christian doesn’t equal belief in Christ....that is where you cross the line
