Abomination before the yes of God....throwing this in His face they await their judgment all in God's time...they are doomed if they do not repent and turn back to God.

God certainly hasn't joined them together....impossible...just shows how far the enemy of God has entered AND taken over the church. None are exempt...Homosexuality and Pedophilia is rampant in the catholic church...infidelity, adultery fornication rampant in many and various denominations today.

These people are in such darkness they cannot see truth or discern where they really are.....they are done on that path...and so are those who encourage them.

Obviously, the Admin Mod. has the final say, but to explain myself, the thread is more about the picture. The excerpts merely give context and detail.

Please don’t replace original title with your comment.

Save the comment area for that.

Thanks.

That's a perspective that didn't occur to me. A picture as a thread. Sort-of like a vanity post, in a way.

Now if there were to be a vanity portion of the religion forum...if many articles, or "items" as we increasingly see didn't belong there from the gitty-up-n-go, a large amount of the comments would. Of course the "vanity" portion would also need encompass the religious pride thingy, since they go together, like peas and carrots, just completely different. :^)

"Homosexuality and Pedophilia is rampant in the catholic church..."

I think I understand why you said that, in context, because when people who publicly represent "the church" commit horrible sins, the scandal is especially shocking and wounding.

However the assertion that these sins are "rampant" in the Catholic church, is actually incorrect.

If you are really interested in understanding the research on the "who, why, when and how" of sex abuse, you would find that Priests no more likely to commit sex abuse than other men, researcher says (Link)

Penn State professor Philip Jenkins (who is not a Catholic) has written the most objective book on the subject, and he summarizes his arguments in this excellent article in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: "The Myth of the Pedophile Priest" (Link)

His findings can be summarized as follows:

Mind you, this is not to deny that pedophilia, wherever found, is a depraved and disgusting act. Particularly so when the offender IS a priest, a group from which we have a right to expect the absolute highest standards. However, Philip Jenkins found, based on his own research and the comprehensive John Jay College of Criminal Justice study, that less than 1.8% of Catholic priests were ever implicated in any category of sexual misdeed --- in other words, over 98% were (and are) innocent.

These are the facts. Which should be important, to those who seek a fact-based view of this problem.

He also said this:

“Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgement.”
John 7:24

Somehow, most liberals get amnesia concerning that verse.

What an awful thing to say about Mormons!

I suspect with reason that Mormons have no "gay" "marriages," no female "pastors," no lesbian bishops, etc. Just because they DO have Romney and Huntsman in a loose manner of speaking does not mean it should be open season on the many fine conservative folks who are Mormons.

Even Henry VIII and Lizzie I would have executed anyone who would have been involved as pastor or spouses in such an abomination as this.
