I have been an active, practicing Christian for around 7 decades. And I will be the first to say that this is a football game and has nothing to do with Christianity.

It’s just a football game. It’s not about his faith or lack thereof.

The media makes it that way. It is why they attack Tim Tebow.

Do you think they would be doing the same if he was a Muslim?

We all know the answer...

Moreover, it's been my experience that people who are publicly celebrated for their piety end up falling pretty hard.

I agree with you except I would not say for sure that there was no divine help.

Probably just that Tebow made a nice throw and the receiver made a great run after the catch. the completion was not the result of bad coverage but the run after might have been.

I think Mr. Tebow agrees with you. However he still feels obligated to thank Him publicly for whatever achievements he makes.

Tebow has said “God doesn’t care who wins or loses He cares that we do our best”.
But the flesh in me wants these doubters crushed.

Thank you. Is Christ more apt to reward the Broncos due to Tebow’s Faith and also because of Pittsburgh sins?

This really insults my intelligence to think that Christ loves the Broncos more than any particular team. The Christ I believe in loves everyone equal. Anyone who thinks that Denver’s victory today is a sign for Tebow’s faith is really saying that the Pittsburgh defense was not granted favor by the Almighty.

That can be said about everything;

It's only a test.................,

It's only a job....................,

It's only a marrage..............,

It's only an election................,.

In other words, nothing matters.

I've learned that all that isn't true, and I'm not even 70.

I disagree...I think as a loving Father, God reveals Himself in a big way visual way at times. I am a “tired” Christian homeschooling mom trying to raise teens up in an ungodly world that will smack you down at every turn and keeps my husband away from home working long hours. My husband watched the game tonight and called me in during overtime. I was able to see a Godly Christian homeschooled young man with God given talent pull off a spectacular win and then give glory to God. It gives me energy and peace to soldier on. To see how God works through a faithful young man gives me encouragement that God is VERY near and hears us. I am just so excited for his mom and dad.
