Does this help?

Last week, Pope Benedict XVI told visiting U.S. bishops that core values of American culture are being threatened by "radical secularism." In an apparent reference to the Health and Human Services' ruling, the Pope said many bishops had told him of "concerted efforts" against "the right of conscientious objection ... to cooperation in intrinsically evil practices."

One of the most amazing things, to me at least, about this whole attack on the Constitution is that some local Methodists we are harping on how silly the Catholic Church is to make an issue of this. They just don't see this as a major violation of the First Amendment no matter how you explain it to them. And an Independent Baptist neighbor said, "It's just them Catholics, so what do I care?".
For whom the bell tolls a poem (No man is an island) by John Donne

No man is an island,
Entire of itself.
Each is a piece of the continent,
A part of the main.
If a clod be washed away by the sea,
Europe is the less.
As well as if a promontory were.
As well as if a manor of thine own
Or of thine friend's were.
Each man's death diminishes me,
For I am involved in mankind.
Therefore, send not to know
For whom the bell tolls,
It tolls for thee.

Has has this country become a nation of shallow morons or what?
They are willing to go on record as not having an objection to abortion? And no sympathy even for Protestants who do?
