Santorum Mentioned Satan!!!!????
Creative Minority Report ^ | 2.21.12 | Matt Archbold

When Santorum was out of politics the past few years he may have done the most damaging thing you can do to a political career -he told the truth as he saw it.

Yup. Santorum mentioned Satan in 2008 to a crowd at Ave Maria University. And the media just discovered this and is horrified. HE MENTIONED SATAN!!!!

This is being played out like some big scandal. It's even headlining on Drudge. But is this a shock to the country? If so, should it be?

Santorum's a Catholic. He believes in God like most Americans do. He believes in Satan like I'd imagine most do. (Am I still right about that? I wonder.) And yet saying that Satan is up to his ol' tricks is somehow shocking?

Is this one of those things that's shocking to the media elite and they'll play it up and convince people who actually agree with Santorum that this is somehow waaaaay outside the mainstream. I sometimes wonder if the mainstream has somehow been convinced in this country they're outside the mainstream.

So here's the transcript of some of what he said that I think isn't really damaging and then I'll get to the part that might be:

Satan has his sights on the United States of America!” Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum has declared.

“Satan is attacking the great institutions of America, using those great vices of pride, vanity, and sensuality as the root to attack all of the strong plants that has so deeply rooted in the American tradition.”...

“This is a spiritual war. And the Father of Lies has his sights on what you would think the Father of Lies would have his sights on: a good, decent, powerful, influential country – the United States of America. If you were Satan, who.........

And hollywood and tv love to make money off the devil. If you made it illegal for them to make movies about the devil they would go broke. Next topic!

Personally, I’m a big fan of truth even when I disagree with it.

Footnote: The concept of a Satan is part of Jewish belief and was taken into Christianity.

Questionable remarks by Fr. Edward Beck (an OBVIOUS Liberal) on O’Reilly last night. Did he say that Church Teaching does NOT go along with Santorum’s remarks about Satan? What OTHER things did he say about Santorum?

Well, what DO we expect when we give "equal protection" to the religion cult of Satan worship? The oft-godless America sows what it reaps.

Just a dumb question.....I believe in God, and I believe there is a satan....isn’t that better than saying I believe in God and I believe in Satan, putting satan on the same level of belief..just a question to see if my way of saying it is just splitting hairs.....gg

I think what most people have a problem about with Santorum’s Satan statements is that Santorum is essentially demonizing sex for anything but procreation. He is also giving cover to sexual predators like Bill Clinton by presenting them with a “the devil made me do it” defense. I’m sure all the Democrats would love to see Santorum as the Republican nominee because the debates will be more about sex and Satanists than taxes and statists.

I also believe in satan, in fact i believe satan is taking over our nation and is actually the power in our government, i also believe he is the power behind many religious organizations, the ones who teach that homosexuality is a choice.

And yes i deliberately did not use a capital S in satan, because he is as low as his angels who work for him here in his kingdom.

And as for Christians? we will know who the Christians are when they become outlawed and have to go under ground to hold service and go to concentration camps when caught.

"I believe in God, and I believe there is a satan....isn’t that better than saying I believe in God and I believe in Satan, putting satan on the same level of belief..just a question to see if my way of saying it is just splitting hairs..."

I understand and appreciate your desire to express yourself clearly, and articulate your convictions through your words. Yet, I think in contemporary English (perhaps more so in the spoken than the written word) to say that you, "believe in," something is merely shorthand to say that you believe in the existence of that thing...

"I believe in (the existence of) God."

"Do you believe in (the existence of) UFOs?"

"Although many self-described Christians express their doubts, the Gospels are clear that Christ Himself, believed in (the existence of) satan..."
